These delectable treats certainly don’t make themselves, so how did Smallcakes get its start? It began with a dream to give everyone a place they could get a gourmet cupcake, and a passion for baking with only the finest ingredients.
When Jeff Martin, founder of the irresistibly beloved Smallcakes, set out his mission was simple: create a dessert that could brighten people’s days. Thus our slogan “Maybe a Cupcake Will Help?” was born! Every morning we measure, mix, and frost using the same ingredients & recipes to make the 12 signature flavors that Martin created. These flavors awarded him appearances on Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars” – seasons 1, 2, and 7! He even stopped by to give the ladies of The View a taste of what Smallcakes is all about! His small bakery exploded in popularity and he saw this as a way to let everyone throughout the nation enjoy the same scrumptious treats as his neighborhood.
From celebrities at MTV’s VMAs, to Moms wanting to give their kids’ soccer team a sweet, celebratory gift, folks from all around the world have been delighting in these small cakes, and we’re delighted about that!
Creating sugary, fluffy cakes was only just the beginning. We introduced brownies, cookies, and even ice cream based on our craveable cupcake flavors. After all, who doesn’t love ice cream? From Martin himself, our goal is “To use creative flavors, quality ingredients, and friendly service to provide the finest cupcake experience worthy of returning and recommending.”
